Blueberries of Indiana
Bees are busy pollinating. We hope to have a good 2019 crop. We usually have good to excellent picking, because we have organized picking. Local honey, and jam, are usually available. We accept cash and checks but not credit cards or food stamps. We have boxes to purchase or you are welcome to bring your own containers to take your berries home. Picnic tables are shaded by giant oak trees. Sanitation regulations no longer allow dogs in the field. Enjoy a pleasant day in the country while getting a supply of delicious and healthful Blueberries.
Directions: From I94: We are on County Road 1000 North just 4 miles from LaPorte Rd. exit of I94 (first exit in Michigan and exit for Four Winds Casino). From the exit, turn right (south) on Hwy 239 and cross into Indiana. After crossing into Indiana, turn right on the first paved road (1000 N). Go 1.3 miles on 1000 N to the farm. From the Indiana Toll Road (I80&90): turn right (north) on Hwy 39 and go about 6 miles to County Road 1000 N. Turn left and go 1.3 miles to the farm.
Bushes have an excellent bloom. This blossoming is a few days later than usual due to the cool and wet weather. However, harvest should begin as usual around July 4th. Begin calling in late June for updates on opening.
As in past years we expect to be open daily 8 am to 6 pm except closed on Tuesdays.
